Firefox Browser just works
May 31st, 2008 | by kfinney |How many of you out there use firefox as your main browser? It just plain works and all the add ons they have is great too. Ok, some of them are a bit pointless and firefox 2 has some serious memory leaks but, i’ve been running version 3 RC 1 now for awhile and it looks like they have really put some work into it! I mean the memory leak seems to be fixed and the browser is a little more refined but, the same firefox we have come to know and love. I know you linux user out there may use konqueror but, I still use firefox in linux as well. Mac users, I don’t really know because I don’t have a MAC but, I suppose you guys and gals use Safari or something. I hear it’s a pretty decent browser too so if you use it, let us know what you think!
What are some of the add-ons used out there? I personally use foxmarks because I hate having to export my bookmarks all the time and I have a lot of them! I use forecast fox as well because I have to know when the weather is good as I like to get outdoors. I’m also using Stylish, User Agent Switcher, and firebug. Firebug is great when working on web sites, (Like this one!). It really helps pinpoint where the code is and in what file and just makes life easier which is what it’s all about! Stylish is a neat tool as well but, it’s probably one of those add ons you can do without to be honest. And of course, the user agent switcher is for switching the browser agent your using. Works great and there is also a neat little trick to get to some iphone only sites in your browser over at ghacks. Well let’s see what others are using out there and how they help your browsing experience!
